The Paps of Jura

Taken on the ferry back to Kennacraig from Islay, looking over at the CalMac making its way in the opposite direction.

The paps are arguably the most impressive mountains in Scotland given that they stand almost alone and distinct from each other. They can be seen from many points on Islay and are often cloaked in cloud making views of the peaks seem elusive.
