Lexi and the Coral

This is Lexi.

We rescued her from a no-kill animal shelter on the island in March of this year. The story of her life is a bit of a mystery. It appears that she is part Italian Greyhound and part Chihuahua. Before entering our lives she lived on the beach that was across the street from the shelter with a group of people who also called the beach home. As she sniffs the coral on the back patio, one has to wonder what memories the scent of the sea has conjured up for her today.
