Motorway lights

Driving back from Wales. Had a wonderful 88th birthday lunch for mum in the Clink Restaurant in Cardiff Prison.. This is staffed by prisoners who return to their cells after their stint in the restaurant. It is stylish, the service is amazing and the food outstanding. They made a real fuss of my mother who is very frail after her stroke, sang happy birthday with gusto and even gave us the birthday cake on the house. More importantly, the initiative reduces re-offending and gives prisoners the chance of a better life on their release.
