Wet Harvest..
Been fine this morning, but overcast. Replaced a spring on the cooker lid, the wire had split causing it to loose it's springyness. Had to drag the cooker out from the wall more than 70 cm to make refitting easier (no tension on the spring). The cooker is an Everhot (electric Aga style range cooker) and pretty heavy. Also gave us the opportunity to give it a good clean.
Croftcrafts and the Crofter came over for coffee and a blether..
Then S and B came round, having been for a walk, and were passing on the way back..
Waiting for a veg order from the hotel, but it didn't come, so just did a normal harvest. Trouble is, it absolutely poured down as we were harvesting the salads.. Oh well, skin is waterproof.. There's Cabbage, Kale, Broccoli, Beetroot, Carrots, Lettuce, Salad Leaves, Chard, Spinnach and Swede, 6 trays in total..
News from the Insurance, pics received, and all been processed. There is a cheque in the post!! So I've ordered a replacement camera body..
music, yippee..
