Gone fishing!!

Called in by the pond on the way back from doing the food shopping today.

I had hoped to see some geese and ducks, but they were all congregating on the island in the shade of the tree out of the reach of the fishermen. Good move as there was a high risk of them getting caught up in the lines.

The fishermen were doing well. We saw 2 carp caught in the space of a couple of minutes. They were reeled in, unhooked and thrown back in to the pond.

Round the other side of the pond a little girl was hand feeding bread to the fish!! She just held in in the water and they swam up and took it away. It was all so fast that I couldn’t capture it!!
