Batboy and batgirl

Tonight we watched over 500 bats leave their roost at Haddo House with the Rangers. The winged beasties teased us for a while, kept us waiting, then it was a full on torrent of wee pipastrelles flying off to eat up to 1,500 midges each; nice work fellas. And if playing with sonic frequency echo location thingamybobs and being surrounded by batfinks wasn't enough for a Friday night, using torches to find their way back seemed to make them happy too.
