Kazim was born in Solhan, Bingol, eastern Turkey. He has told me lots of stories this week about Kurdish life and has enthusiastically encouraged me to learn a few more Kurdish words.
He asked me to take a good shot of him as he did not have any. I emailed my first attempts to him and he was less than impressed, this shot was the result of my second attempt which met with his approval ! I tried to capture his gentle nature in his eyes.
