Catch up: Part 3

I remember a bit more about this day.

I sowed a load of lettuce seeds that I'd accidentally left out in the rain on Saturday night and decided I'd better use up. I did lots of other gardening and tidying outside too - including cutting the hedge along the front of our house, so that people can actually drive up the drive and get in the front door. Richard finally got a couple of hours off so he came home and mowed the lawn. Then Tess and I made a cake and then we all went to Richard's Mum for an hour or so to see Richard's cousin and his family who were visiting. Richard's mum makes very strong gin and tonics and when we got home I struggled to make dinner.
I got Gemma to fill the cake with buttercream and jam.
She's very messy...
