Harvest Time

While away the garden has gone wild but the veggies have been doing the business. The potatoes were grown from odds and ends sprouting in the veggie store last April! The purple ones are interesting and I have cut one in half. It tastes good but is quite a dry potato and has a tendency to explode if over boiled and turn to instant mush. I remember being served up a fully purple potato while staying on Raasay with a friend's family. I'm not sure what any of these varieties are. If any one can give me some clues that would be great. Also interested if anyone has come across other interesting varieties.
