Traditional dress

While staying in Kyoto, it was not uncommon to see people walking round in traditional Japanese dress. I'm not sure if it was their own but you could also hire it for the hour or the day if you wanted. This shot was taken just outside a small restaurant we went in for lunch - I think we ate okonomiyaki, a type of savory pancake that was cooked on hot plates in front of us. Very tasty.
