What a Glorious Day !
Am running a day behind but had a great day out with my friend Anne. We visited Saville Garden and had a good walk around the late summer beds which were in glorious deep saturated colours. Got some good shots for my next colour module and then had a nice lunch with carrot cake and half a bar of dark chocolate each for dessert - yummy !
We then went to visit the National Trust area of Runnymede and Coopers Hill which overlooks the Thames and includes the Magna Carter and John F Kennedy Memorials along the way. We walked up the hill through the woodland to the Air Forces Memorial which commemorates by name over 20,000 airmen and women who were lost during the Second World War. It is a very beautiful place with an incredible sense of calm and peacefulness and it is well worth a visit if you are near.
The photograph above was taken at Saville Garden and I managed to walk about 14,000 steps yesterday and so broke the 10k barrier at last.
