Today has been a great day. I met up with friends for lunch and spent the afternoon in town with them. Some friends come into your life just when you need them and these two certainly have arrived at the perfect time for me. It's been a surprising and fun day.

This is an experimental shot of a huge spiders web I spotted in the carpark in town. I like all the interwoven strands - so complex, clever, delicate and yet strong. An impressive feat of construction by our eight-legged friends.
