Ashton Memorial, Lancaster

The others left very early this morning. I had a short lie in and then started my journey home. I did a diversion to take a very short walk through the Williamson Park to investigate this structure. You can see it for miles around Lancaster. It is the Ashton Memorial - Commissioned by Lord Ashton as a tribute to his late wife, completed in 1909. The park and the memorial looked great and I need to go back to explore it further one day.

I backblipped yesterday's picture of the millennium bridge this morning when I got home so you may not have seen it.

Did some more sorting out this afternoon and then went to have afternoon tea with friends.
