Bag of beans

Walking though the Botanic Gardens in Glasgow today I came across this memorial to Jimmy Logan, a real gentleman and showman. Having had the pleasure of working with him it brought back memories of panto at the Kings in Glasgow when he played the dame in Jack and the Beanstalk and had to deliver the line 'A bag of beans' which was the cue to start the transformation scene. Only problem was Jimmy milked the line for all it was worth so I never knew if he would say it once or twenty times - certainly kept me on my toes!
