Heron in the grass

As I went past the stream - there were three deer and one heron. By the time I had the camera out (yes, I know I could have been carrying it) two deer had moved on, and the third turned away from me. Everything fine for photos except the rear view. Eventually he was spooked by a boy and moved on. I concentrated on the heron but he flew off to this grass. I stalked him for while; this was the closest I got.
