Handsome bristly fly

This is Tachina fera, an impressive fly I've been seeing a lot feeding on umbellifers along woodland rides. I gather it's rather common and widespread. Nevertheless, I think it's rather handsome and looks like it means business - which I now know is having larvae that parasitize other caterpillars and small insects.
