Into the Wilds

Day 1 (Geordie voice optional) On which our holiday commenced and we journeyed into a wild and crazy nether world named Ulpha, where the roads go up and down and round and round and the sheep rule with hooves of iron.

Our cottage was a beautiful, converted former bobbin mill surrounded by fells, woodland and a river which dropped down over rocks alongside and around the beautiful cottage garden. There was just time for an evening walk with Maisie after a takeaway tea. Sheep were inspected and respected and the boys climbed a "mountain". There was also just enough time for me to fall in the river too. Grazes and bruises abounded but at least it gave everyone a laugh.
