Summer homework complete

Been a good day - we got up and went swimming this morning. We had got into the habit of taking Charlotte last year then events took over and it stopped. She has her name down for lessons but it seems to be taking ages to get to the top of the list!

We went to the new(ish) local pool- first time I've been in it and it is a big improvement. I really enjoyed it and Lottie did too - the small pool was shut but the big pool is a fancy varipool so half of it was a bit shallower than normal which meant I felt more comfortable but it was deep enough to swim in.

We had a quick lunch, rushed round town to pick a few holiday bits up and then came back to make tea and sort washing out etc.

Lottie completed her summer homework - the school had prepared a homework book for the holidays with little bits of maths, comprehension, handwriting etc - caused a bit of a fuss with some but I think it's a good idea. We just had a bit of story writing to finish today. She has been really good about it.
