Venta El Charco
Is the name of the place we've just come back from in Los Romanes where we had one of my all time memorable meals. The view high up over Viñuela Lake as the lights came on in all the mountain villages, some reflected in the Lake, and the 1kg (1 kg!) T-bone steak, not to mention goat in almond sauce, roast leg of lamb, aubergines with molasses, and lettuce in fried garlic... Not to mention their special chocolate cake with raspberry sorbet. The local red wine and then the ron miel, on the house, might have helped. It was just... perfection.
Blip, though, is of our pool, looking up at Peña de Hierro, as don't think I've blipped it yet, and we've spent many a happy hour chatting around it.
