Maple Leaf

A most enjoyable first day in Toronto. An early highlight was the square in front of the modern City Hall, which had a series of sculptures about the emblems of Chinese years, we assume by artist Ai Weiwei.

Then, after a long walk, taking in the Waterfront, I went to see Kansas City Royals v Toronto Blue Jays at the aptly named Rogers Centre. Good of them to change the name to mark my visit. I always enjoy baseball. A highlight of the day, amidst some disappointing research (beers all too cold and bland) came when a Chinese barmaid asked me for ID. Yes!!
