Valley of life and death...

With another beautiful day ahead it was to the Lauterbrunnen Valley we did go. We walked the Trummelbach falls which are the world's only glacial waterfalls that you can visit in the interior of the mountain and then made our way down the valley floor to the helipad.

Our friend, Stephan Siegrist who we are visiting, is a renown Swiss climber and was leading clients up the Jungfrau this morning. They were helicoptering up to the climb and back down and Stephan was to parachute down to where we were waiting. However there was an accident and a client and guide fell to their deaths...things were delayed. There we were in paradise and all the power and beauty of nature around us and just like that it was ended for two people...certainly made me think and reflect.

Later we went rock climbing and then to a special place way up above the lake to evening BBQ and spend time with friend while the kids ran wild. A perfect end to an amazing family adventure...tomorrow we start the homeward journey.
