Boats! Boats! Boats!

So my title does not in anyway reflect the photo but it does sum up the day!
Kicked off with a tour of CV27, Team Garmin's boat that will be sailing around the world in the Clipper Race, leaving tomorrow. My friend Julia will be sailing on her between Australia and China so we got a sailing tech explanation as well as a tour of the (very compact) living quarters. I am quite in awe of what the team will be endeavoring to achieve.
We linnered at Maltby St Market and stumbled on a glass art exhibition at the London Glassblowing Works - some truely astonishing pieces of craftmanship. We then stuck to our nautical theme by catching a Thames Clipper down to Woolwich Arsenal to see the Tall Ships and watch the fireworks.
