In memorium
Cycled from Toombul to Woody Point and back this morning.
A 66km round trip.
Went at a leisurely pace and took in the sights and great weather.
This is blipped in a dodgy spot on the Nundah Road that must be traversed for a short distance on the Moreton Bay Cycleway. Clearly, Mr Gilmore was a keen cyclist and this is a fitting tribute to his memory, presumably when he was killed on this stretch of road at the young age of 39.
I'm not a great fan of roadside memorials, but this one is probably appreciated by cyclists in that it might make car drivers more vigilant.
