Eve of destruction

A colony of cormorants had all but destroyed the two small islands beside the ferry route leading to/from Stockholm. Sad sight.

But to happier news. Left for a cruise from Helsinki on Friday evening to Stockholm to return back on Sunday morning. The reason was to celebrate my very good childhood friend's mother's 100th birthday! Great and happy occasion with chance to talk to my friend after 10 years - he is living in USA.

Oops, realised the need to be more specific: Her party was held in Stockholm, and me and some other people came over on ferry.
