"The Pelicans"...
...I promised I'd show you some more Pelicans - and here are a few we noticed FROM a river cruiser, (and not the riverbank)..and the cruiser was on the Darling River, which is the longest river in Australia..I thought it was the Murray, but it's not, it's The Darling which runs into the Murray at the Junction right where we were today...
...The Darling is some 2,740 klm in length, and eminates from the drylands of Queensland, Australia to meet the Murray and then they travel together forever, another 832 klms all the way down to the sea in South Australia after flowing through many locks on the way..
...Practically all of the pics I show you when I feature a river - is the Murray, and so here we are today, on a river cruiser having a lovely meal and watching the rivers go by, relaxing and talking at the luncheon table..
...You see - it is Fathers Day in Australia, - the 1st Sunday in the month, of September, and it also happens to be the 1st day of our Spring..well, you can see what the weather is like - perfect, and the boat was full, very nice as it's only 2 years old and we were actually placed at a table next to some folk whose son works with our son in the Navy, on the same Base..
...Australia is not very big really, is it...
