Saturday Stuff

Day spent in the house with both Bb and I doing some work-related stuff. We also think we might have managed to sort out a domestic challenge. We have a trial run on Monday with a potential new cleaning lady, who comes recommended by our last but one Portuguese cleaning lady, who worked with us for 15 years. Fingers crossed that it works out. We could manage ourselves of course when we're both here with a balanced workload, but throw in our separate travel schedules, times when we're both working too hard, and times when neither of us is here but want the house kept in shape and it's not quite so easy! We wandered into Eixample early evening and ended up eating in 'Slavia', one of our favourite local places from our early days here back in 1991. Good to see it going strong and still just the same! The food is a bit heavier than we normally eat these days though, so don't think we'll be frequent visitors! Speaking of which, we must get back to the 2-day diet. It's gone by the wayside and I can feel it!
