Barbie on the Beach

Another glorious day in Edinburgh.

The nice thing about Portobello first thing in the morning is how quiet the beach is - just a few dog-walkers and the occasional person strolling along the prom. There's a real sense of peace and the only things to be heard are the waves lapping on the shore and the sounds of the seabirds.

Then by noon, word has got round and the place is transformed to a heaving mass of sunburnt bodies.
