Moorhens

Right in the middle of Glasgow, in Victoria Park's pond to be precise, just yards from a main road.

There are two nests - the largest one was apparently a swan's nest to start with and the moorhens moved in when the swans er, swanned off. I did take some pictures of Ma & Pa Swan and their five rather big by now cygnets, but preferred this one although the quality isn't great.
