The piano's not for sale.

‘She’s looking at me, Mother.’

‘Just ignore her, dear. This looks much more interesting, like our kind of shop. Shall we go in?’

This curious shop, full of antiques, curios and vintage bric-a-brac is called ‘The piano’s not for sale’, as shown on the indistinct little sign hanging high above the shop doorway. And there is a piano, as the chalkboard sign charmingly proclaims ‘Dignified haggling and virtuoso piano playing permitted’. Whoever said the English weren’t a race of complete eccentrics?
