All Out Attack

I sorry it had to be the hockey again this evening, I was bowling all day in our clubs open triples tournament and sadly lost in the final but we played well all day and were a might unlucky in the final.

I dashed away after the presentation and arrived just in time for the second period interval, an exciting game and the most successful team from last season came to our barn tonight, the mighty Nottingham Panthers, a tough ask for our fledgling new team. We saw a glimpse tonight of what might be a good team, the guys all skating for each other, chasing down the pucks, closing the panthers down not letting them settle at all, we came from behind with two goals in quick succession to level the score at 4 all at the end of normal time, sudden death overtime could not separate the team despite end to end action and so to penalty shots. Mike Will the Braehead net minder saved the first, then a very skilful strike put us ahead, Nottingham scored an excellent second shot but again we held our nerve and scored again, cometh the hour cometh the man and Mike Will made a brilliant save and the crowd erupted, we won the Aladdin cup, more importantly we looked good doing it, strong, physical, skilful and playing as a team!!!!

I hope the second action shot does not bore you and I hope it in some little way conveys the sheer speed of this game, best in large again
