On a Tuesday

It was a long way to go for the day for lunch but worth it. Travelled up to my sister's in Whitley Bay last night. Dropped her boys at school this morning and then heading in to Newcastle to catch the train up to Edinburgh for the day. We met up with my parents and had a wander round before getting the bus to Leith for lunch at The Kitchin. It's a long time since the four of us went out without any other halves or children and it made a fantastic meal extra special. When it comes to meals out I'm usually a savoury girl but it was the Rhubarb Crumble Souffle and Rhubarb Ice cream that won my vote for best course although it was all delicious.
