Girona in a day.
En route from the UK to Perpignan I was lucky enough to spend the day wandering the cobbled streets of the beautiful Catalan city of Girona. I got up early and the city was strangely calm and quiet, the narrow carrers of the old Jewish quarter keeping me shaded and cool as I wandered between the ancient baths and the colourful Cases Penajades that line the river Onyar, among other pretty sights. My sightseeing was slightly disrupted by a large film crew shooting a Landrover advert in the old town but it was fun to watch as they were getting the car to chase a gorgeous dog around the city; he was a surprisingly obedient actor! Anyway now I am settled into my flat in Perpignan and I'm excited to take my camera out exploring this week before my classes start, and to take advantage of the international photojournalism festival Visa Pour l'Image being on my doorstep!
