Meladrama

So this was supposed to be a photo of the Orb playing live. We had tickets for the Mela today and the Orb were the headline act.

We headed in for about 3pm so we could soak up the atmosphere, get some food and catch up with friends. That was all going fine however at about 4pm they cosed teh main stage due to the wind. No major problem as they moved the acts that should have been on it to the second stage. Unfortunately at about 5 they announced they had to temporarily clear the site.

We headed down to see Sam and Alex and checked the Facebook site. At 6pm there was a message saying they would re-open the site for a limited capacity and only for the Orb so we headed back up.

We queue'd for about 40 minutes, but bumped into loads of people we knew in the queue so it wasn't that bad.

Unfortunately at about 7 they announced for a second time that it was cancelled and they wouldn't be letting anyone back in.

Ach well, we got a refund and had a good day anyway. Wee bit gutted not to see the Orb, but I guess you can't control the weather.
