Not often seen up in this part of the world!

These are Black Terns (Chlidonias niger) 22-24cm. They are short tailed, grey rumped terns. In spring has black body, in Autumn can have black and white mottles before getting white underparts and black cap of winter, thus making it look as if it has a white collar.
Quite a good day today, much better in the east, than the west. Still a bit breezy!
