Round the world clipper race 2013/14
Woke up to good weather again, breezy but sunny.
Did the washing then went down to the seafront to watch the clipper race entries sail past the end of the pier. Unfortunately not in enough time to get to the end of the pier, so this shot is taken from the shore. There are 12 identical clippers taking part in this 40,000 mile race due to finish in July 2014. There are 670 crew and they will visit 16 ports on six continents. They have been going just over 9 hours now. Hope they all have a safe race. Best large. We had breakfast out, walked the pier there and back, came home and did some jobs, including a pile of ironing!
Hope you all had a good weekend and that the summer lasts a little longer. School tomorrow.
