Carrot ME

So, this is the sign for carrots at the grocery store (Carrefour) near my place and school. So many other vegetables and fruits had similar signs but not all. There is green apple me, red pepper me, bean me, etc. The closest guess my friends and I have are that the ME stands for Middle East, but we aren't totally sure. We choose to believe that the grocery store is just being quippy and cute. Probably not what is is...but we like to think so.
