batten down the hatches

Autumn seems to have struck.
So windy today, even the swans at the Inverleith pond were couried in, sheltering from the gales.

Thought we'd have a look at what preparations were going on for the council getting Inverleith Park ready for it being the viewing area for the end of Festival fireworks tonight but apart from numerous men in hi viz jackets scurrying about, a handful of burger and chip vans and a huge screen as yet to be switched on there wasn't much else happening.
