Big Gatepost, Shields Road, Glasgow

There are several of these in Shields Road, more down Glencairn Drive. Not sure why they are so big, perhaps a statement of wealth of the original owners? No doubt someone will let me know.

They are quite classy. I like this one, in good repair, and some lovely flowers to show it off.
