We had a lot of fun saying goodbye to summer today. Instead of going to our usual park/museum/zoo outing we decided to head west to the ocean. We hit up our favorite spot, Oceanside, and were welcomed with the perfect costal weather. No wind and just a little bit of sun.
The boys had fun digging holes, being thrown in the air and running in the tide. Miles even went swimming in the ocean...after a wave knocked him down. My world stopped for a minute before daddy got to him and stood him up. Mommy was the only one traumatized- Miles stood up and yelled, "I fell down! I splashed! I'm all wet"! And for the rest of our morning at the ocean miles was running around near naked. We were home in time for lunch and a nap before he went to the park with daddy, skyped with grandpa Greg and played tag in the house with mommy and daddy.
Good bye summer, we will miss you.
