Deutsche Bank Championship 2013

Funny story: Dad and I go to Deutsche Bank Championship Pros & Amateur play Thursday August 29th. we go every year. kind of a father & son bonding thing. any who, we take full advantage of Dad's handicap pass and get carted all around the course. we chose to sit at the 9th hole where most of the pros come by and get a better view. now we specifically chose the pro-am simply because we can take our big cameras and take as many photos as we want without breaking rules of no cameras during play, once the tourney starts on Friday, nobody can bring in a camera. cell phones are allowed but must be on silent.
so we are at 9th hole, along comes a group that has local New England native Keegan Bradley professional golfer. he is paired with Boston Bruins Shawn Thorton. Shawn hits his 3rd shot, lands about 15 feet from us. we take plenty of photos of him up close. I upload one to instagram for the Deutchse Bank Championship photo contest. didn't think anything of it. few hours later, they messaged me saying they chose my photo for the winning contest! I won a Samsung Galaxy S4..from AT&T however. Sarah still has AT&T so it would be wise to give it to her as a gift. her girlfriend at work has same phone.
so the DBChampionship asks if I'll be back to pick up the phone, I said I would love to come back but we don't have tickets. they offered two tickets and to pick up the phone! awesome!
social media works in the most awesome ways. its hard to explain to some people because not everyone is on instagram nor do they know what it is. I'm glad we spent the time together at TBC Boston. the weather wasn't the best. off & on showers.
