Homeward bound
Another lie in after getting back from wedding at 3pm via the wife's old softball coach's hotel for late night pizza.
McDonald's for brunch in the hot, humid and damp air. Then the drive back to the airport. We stopped to fill up with gas nearby the airport finding the station on our gas buddy app. Get out to fill up and during te process suddenly notice we are the only white people around and it's not the most pleasant of areas. Only needed a quarter of a tank but seemed to take ages. Some strange looks by the locals but we made the splash and dash with no problems.
Flight on time, smooth and could watch live ESPN from departure to arrival. Get back, pick up the dog, get some groceries in and make my sandwiches for tomorrow.
A thoroughly great time over the last few days. Both the wife and I needed it. Met some of her closest friends and their better halves and all were welcoming and great to hang out with. Loved ATL and the little of the surrounding Georgia that we saw. It truly is the land of the tree as the whole landscape is a blanket of green. You cannot see the buildings or roads hidden in their midst. The aquarium was a highlight as was the Waffle House breakfasts! Highly recommend a visit out there.
