September Challenge - Candlelight/In The Dark

Day 2 of DDW's September daily challenge - Candlelight and a dip into HeartFreek's challenge - In the dark.

An easy tie up between the two challenges today, candlelight and in the dark, since the 2 work together well.

I had to wait for it to get dark to take this (though not as dark as you might think), and with autumn well on its way the nights are drawing in. It's still not officially autumn in my house yet, traditionally that is always marked by the Last Night of the Proms, which was the weekend when my mother would taken down the thin, light curtains in the living room and put up the thick, heavy winter ones (back in the days of single glazing and coal fires, no central heating).

These small members of the Woodman clan certainly do seem to need an eye keeping on them. Yes, I now have 6 - the original 2 12" ones, 2 8" teen-ish sized ones and 2 6" little ones.
