Blackheath and Rhododendrons sort of go together. In fact I spend an inordinate amount of time working for the annual Rhodo Festival every year. One of the interesting things about these flowers is that the various varieties come to fruition at different times. Come early September, these are some of the earliest rhodos of the season.
