OUTBACK AUSTRALIA..... Back When...#5

... a little change in my series of old family pics.
This is local downtown Jamisontown in our city of Penrith - it is an original Cemetery formerly consecrated by Bishop John Bede Polding circa 1839 on the land which formed part of the 1,000 acres original land grant to Thomas Jamison in 1805.
He was a surgeons mate on the Sirius arriving with the first fleet. Before his death back in England in 1811 he signed the land over to his son Sir John Jamison who came to Australia in 1814.
Check the write up about the Cemetery land in my folio.
For those "really" interested this LINK will give a list of those buried here- the last in 1967.

Enjoy, and look in LARGE if you wish.
