Porty People and Places
The entrance cupola and gallery stairwell of St Mark's Episocopal Church on Portobello High Street. This is a neo-classical villa style church consecrated in 1828. In its graveyard there are some Commonwealth War graves. The church is currently hosting a week long Art Festival showcasing some local artists. The standard of the art and photographic work on show is very high. This free Exhibition runs from 1200 until 1800 every afternoon until Friday. St Mark's Church is also open again in the final weekend of September as part of the nationwide Doors Open project.
Today's beach blip is here I am hoping that the new sand banks that are appearing at low tide are not part of a change in the river flow due to the construction of the new Forth Road Bridge.
