Harvest time

Harvest started today.
This is the field of wheat at the end of our road. The combine harvester is off-loading the threshed grain into a trailer.
Dusty work and a surprising amount of grain lost and left on the ground after the reaping- perhaps due to the dryness of the crop - and so the local wood pigeons look like scoring loads of food over the next few weeks - as if they were not big and fat enough!
