Life is a Challenge!

ON THE ROAD

I wasn't altogether sure that standing in the middle of a busy dual carriageway was a good thing but I saw this writing ON THE ROAD on my way to the bus stop and thought it was perfect for HeartFreek's September Challenge.

Stepping gingerly into the road, watching the traffic very carefully, I managed to get this shot before any cars knocked me down! I was pleased to make it to the central reservation before I saw a police car coming along the other carriageway!

I got to the BUS STOP and saw the these words on the road so blipped them too - I think the other people waiting for the bus probably thought I had taken leave of my senses so I just let them think it - and yes, that is me in the shot too!

If that wasn't enough the arrow on the road in the car park was another good one to blip and to top it all saw this cuddly toy - bereft and lonely - on the road nearby, so thought that would make an excellent blip too, so here is my collage.

Amazing how much we SEE when we actually LOOK!

All these signs are necessary to help us as we travel ON THE ROAD but easy to miss if we are going too fast, so perhaps we need to slow up - or should that be slow down - so that we see more each day.

We would do well to remember this:

You can become blind by seeing each day as a similar one.
Each day is a different one, each day brings a miracle of its own.
It's just a matter of paying attention to this miracle.
Paulo Coelho

Had a lovely day meeting Linda, my Bulgarian friend this morning and then helping Karen, another friend, with some baking this afternoon - the miracle was that I didn't eat any of the Million Calorie Chocolate Brownies on the way home - and Karen will know what I mean!!
