Talk in Second Life

Even though no technology can ever replace face-to-face interactions, technologies somtimes enable us to attend events and meet with people which we may not be able to in real life. This evening, I attended a talk by a US colleague in the virtual world - Second Life. The pictures show my colleague delivering his talk and the audience. Unlike phone or Skype, Second Life has avatar-based interactions with voice, gestures and rich graphics - so, one almost gets a feeling of being in an auditorium.
