Macro series - the acorn

Another day, another macro.

I went for a walk round Thrupp lake, a natural reserve just a few meters from work.

Although I had many pictures, I decided to settle for the acorn, symbol of strength and power (no analogy to myself). I wonder if it will make it to a majestic oak. Who knows? I'll check in spring next year and might be surprised.
