Spot the Crab

Today we have had a lovely trip to Holy Island.

It was a lovely day. We arrived in time for lunch then headed off into the village where we visited the church and lit a candle, the post office and then off to the castle. It was a little stroll to the castle, in fact they do run a shuttlebus but we walked. We stopped on the way to look in the rock pools and found some crabs. There is one in the photo. Can you spot it?

As we had a little detour to look for crabs when we did reach the castle at 2.35 we found out last entry was 2.30!! oh well.

It didn't matter we went on to see the garden designed by Gertrude Jeckyll and then back to the village for a well earned coffee.

As the tide doesn't turn until 5.30 today we were stuck on the island until then. So after our cuppa and the cafe closing amidst the joy of all the little birds who flew down from the hedge for crumbs, we went to the beach for a paddle in the sea.

The sun shone and was warm and even the breeze was pleasant.

As we had a long day we thought mcdonalds for tea. But it was shut! So kebab for tea.
